I’ve just checked out your IG page and now following. Your photos are truly beautiful. Being a lover of birds I enjoyed them the best. However your ‘mushroom at sunset’ is stunning.
Your story is one of hope. It is inspiring to hear that photography has played a role in your recovery and continued enjoyment of life. Perhaps someone will read this and find their own path to wellbeing through your words. That is the power of sharing.
(Ps: I've just found you on Blue sky too. It's really quite refreshing to have access to these more human platforms and I look forward to following your work here and there.)
Thank you for your kind words. That is honestly one of my hopes, that posts like mine can help others that are struggling.
I firmly agree, BlueSky and SubStack have been a breath of fresh air. I've followed you back on BlueSky. Looking forward to seeing more of your work as well!
As a fellow spoonie, thank you for sharing your story. Photography really has been a lifeline for me too, especially for reminding me of all the small (and big) beautiful things that are still out there for me to discover when everything feels quite heavy. I'm glad you had a similar experience.
Hello, fellow spoonie! I love hearing that photography has been a lifeline for you too! It really helps shift my perspective on tough days, reminding me that there’s still so much beauty to take in.
Wow! This is such an incredible story—thank you so much for sharing such a personal experience. It’s so difficult to give up a dream because of chronic pain—I definitely know the feeling. I’ve worked so hard to get the strength in my body back after a really back car accident. Photography was also my way of escape and form of therapy!! I love how powerful photography is, on so many levels.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m really sorry you had to go through that, but it’s amazing to hear how photography became such a healing outlet for you too.
Photography really does have some "magic" to it sometimes.
Thank you for sharing that. It’s amazing how photography and nature can be such powerful healing tools. Even on the toughest days, just being out there can make a huge difference!
I'm sorry you had to give up your dream.
But I'm also happy that you managed to find your purpose again. That's no small feat, people lose all hope for less!
Thank you! It’s true, losing hope is easy, but finding a new path is always possible.
